Founder, Grant Legal Solutions

Matt Grant founded Grant Legal Solutions in March 2026. He has extensive experience in executive leadership as a General Counsel and corporate attorney, with broad expertise in a variety of legal matters including private equity, mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate governance.

Matt previously served as Senior Managing Director and General Counsel for Bridge Investment Group from January 2021 to March 2026 and as Assistant General Counsel for Bridge from June 2016 to December 2020. In that decade he was instrumental in Bridge’s growth from $5 billion to $50 billion of assets-under-management, its Initial Public Offering in 2021, and its take-private sale to Apollo Global Management in 2025. From March 2015 to June 2016, he was Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for ShopCore Properties (formerly Excel Trust), a retail real estate investment management company, where he was responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, joint ventures and development matters and helped guide Excel’s transition from a publicly traded REIT to a private company owned by The Blackstone Group. From October 2011 to March 2015, he worked at the international law firm Latham & Watkins as an associate in the corporate group, where he advised public companies, private equity fund sponsors and various other clients in a wide range of transactional and regulatory compliance matters, with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions and securities offerings.

Matt is a member of the California Bar Association. He received Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Utah, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in finance.
